Jews, Gentiles, Mosaic Law, and Grace

- Today, a significant misunderstanding persists within many churches, particularly among ministers, regarding the Mosaic system of laws. These laws were specifically intended for the twelve tribes of Israel, later known as the Jews. The core of this misunderstanding lies in the failure to recognize that these 613 Mosaic Laws were never meant to be applied to the Gentiles. This includes the "Ten Commandments," which, despite their inherent goodness and value for anyone capable of adhering to them, were specifically written for the Jewish people. Under the dispensation of “grace”, the Mosaic system of laws was disannulled and replaced for the “born again” Christian Jew that chose to believe in and place their “faith” in Jesus Christ. This same dispensation of “grace” was later offered to the Gentiles that also believed in Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ then unified both the Jew and the Gentile together under one “faith”. Together this body of believers in Jesus Christ became what we commonly call today, the “Church”. This same group of believers, regardless of nationality or race, later became known as “Christians”.
